We are a partnership of highly experienced doulas in the DMV area, having attended almost 900 births. We are anti-racist, queer-affirming, and body positive. Our unique services help us to develop a close relationship with our clients. With evidenced-based information, we guide you through all of the options available, giving you tools to identify and achieve your individual birth goals.

We know that we have work to do: Identifying our own personal biases; identifying and speaking out against racism when we encounter it in our personal and professional lives, and promoting Black birth workers and Black-owned businesses. District Doulas is committed to the ongoing process of learning to do this work.
